Spectrometer
Chemical metal analysis is performed for each furnace using an OBLF brand spectrometer capable of measuring 16 elements.
At Akpınar Döküm ve Makina Sanayi A.Ş., we implement rigorous quality control processes at every stage of cast part production.
Through comprehensive testing conducted before, during, and after production, we ensure product quality and offer our customers reliable and high-performance casting solutions.
Chemical metal analysis is performed for each furnace using an OBLF brand spectrometer capable of measuring 16 elements.
Samples are cut to the desired dimensions using an abrasive cutting machine equipped with 600-grit abrasive discs, in order to preserve surface integrity.
The cut samples are tested under a load of 3000 kg to determine the Brinell hardness value. This test is crucial for measuring the material’s durability level.
Grinding and polishing processes are applied to the samples to achieve an ideal surface for microscopic analysis.
The prepared samples are examined under a microscope to analyze the grain distribution, graphite structure, and other microstructure details in the casting.
Internal defects and discontinuities in the parts are inspected by Level-2 specialists using ultrasonic testing equipment. This method provides reliable results without damaging the material.
Magnetic Particle Testing is one of the non-destructive testing methods used for detecting surface near defects. It is conducted by a Level-2 MT specialist at our factory.
The grain distribution of the molding sand is tested in special sand sieving equipment to control factors that affect casting quality.
The clay and active clay ratios are analyzed to determine the binding properties of the sand; production is optimized according to the ideal ratios.
The paint coatings on the part surfaces are inspected using a coating thickness measurement device. This ensures the suitability of both aesthetic and protective layers.
