Akpınar Casting and Machinery Industry Inc. performs high-quality production in its foundry equipped with modern equipment. Our company, a pioneer in the Ankara foundry sector, stands out with its high melting capacity, flexible molding options, and customer-oriented approach.

Our Production Infrastructure

The production line at Akpınar Casting consists of six main sections: melting, molding, core making, part preparation, model shop, and heat treatment. Each stage is integrated with quality control processes. Our goal is to ensure excellence in both small-volume and large-size parts.

Melting Capacity

Our foundry is equipped with two medium-frequency, dual-pot Inductotherm induction furnaces. These systems provide continuous operation and high efficiency:

  • 1 unit 750 kW power – 1500 kg pot capacity – 1500 kg/hour melting rate
  • 1 unit 1250 kW power – 2500 kg pot capacity – 2500 kg/hour melting rate

With these high capacities, we provide strong solutions even for large projects that require Ankara foundry services.

Molding Technology

In our molding section, we have two BMM Weston brand molding machines. These machines operate on the shaking-compacting principle and produce parts in the following sizes:

  • 750 x 650 x 300/300 mm
  • 650 x 750 x 200/300 mm

Additionally, we offer flexible production options for large parts with our hand molding method.

Core Production

In core production, we use a 12-liter Omega Core Machine. Cores are made with Alpha-Set and alkaline phenolic resin sand hardened with carbon dioxide. This ensures superior surface quality even for cast parts with complex geometries.

Part Preparation and Cleaning

Post-casting surface cleaning of parts is performed with a 5 tons/hour cleaning machine. In addition, fine surface processes are carried out using fixed grinding machines and hand grinders. All parts are carefully evaluated by the quality control unit.

Model Shop Operations

In the model shop section, models and core boxes are produced from wood, aluminum, and plastic materials. This process is supported by precise measuring instruments, ensuring the accuracy of casting molds.

Heat Treatment Services

Post-production, heat treatment is applied upon customer request. With our heat treatment furnace, which measures 2000 x 3000 x 1600 mm, we obtain parts with improved mechanical properties and high strength.

Heat Treatment:
Heat treatment is applied to the parts upon customer request.
Dimensions of the heat treatment furnace: 2000* 3000* 1600mm.
